The challenge
Bringing iPantry Australia and iPantry UAE into one global store meant rethinking how delivery works. The delivery methods a customer can use depend on their address and cart, groceries need a delivery date the team can meet, and gift hampers combine many products into one purchase. The search and delivery apps on the old stores had caused many problems, so the new store needed simpler tools, extended only where iPantry needed something of its own.

What we built
ForTech is iPantry’s Shopify Plus development partner, working with Jolly Eats Trading. For the move to the global store, ForTech removed the old search and delivery apps and cleaned their code out of the theme, so the team could switch to simpler search and shipping apps. ForTech helps configure the new shipping app and resolves shipping issues as they come up. ForTech also installed and configured its own custom apps on the store. Each is built for the group’s stores and made of several extensions: a Shopify Function that filters the delivery methods offered at checkout, a delivery date picker for choosing when an order arrives, a bundle popup for building hampers on the product page, and a Cart Transform function that turns the chosen items into one bundle in the cart and at checkout. Alongside iPantry and Bulk Eats Warehouse, ForTech has supported other stores in the group, including Choced, FIG, Giftsec and Mylkables.

What the website enabled
With the old apps cleaned out, the store runs on simpler search and shipping tools. Shoppers see only the delivery methods that apply to them, choose a delivery date and buy a customised hamper as a single item. Because the delivery and bundle logic lives in reusable custom apps, the same features can be rolled out to the group’s other stores.
